Between Here and There

On our way from Durham to MD beach we got to travel a different route.  Next time you are in the area it is definitely worth the detour!  17 miles of tunnels and bridges.

Our next adventure took us to Montreat, NC (just east of Asheville) for a couple nights with family and a couple more nights with friends.  It rained almost everyday but still allowed for parts of the day to be explored.  We stayed in a cabin Tuesday and Wednesday night with Rachel, Craig, Asher and Adah Joy.  Jim and Jul, Gemma and Timo stayed in the other cabin about a 10 minute walk away.  We basically stayed in Montreat the whole time, without phone or internet! It was great.  At one point there were 12 kids and 11 adults eating, playing, sleeping.  A very busy weekend.

 We've enjoyed our first week and a half in Durham with many great meals and numerous trips to the swimming pool.  We've managed all this even with rain nearly every day.
